THE SEA DRAGON CLASSIC MILITARY SKILLS MEET
The Sea Dragon Classic Military Skills Competition has run since 1984. Today, it is a one-day
event conducted annually at Southwest High School in San Antonio Texas. This year's
competition will be held on Saturday, 06 December 2008.
At its core, The Sea Dragon Classic is an intra-service JROTC competition. Navy teams
compete, not only amongst themselves, but against teams from their fellow United States
Services JROTC's. Schools are required to compete in a series of challenging military skills in
different categories. School's scores are determined by combining the points they earn by
performing each military skill as a team; the more competitive categories the schools enter,
the higher the possible score. The winning schools are recognized and rewarded with
trophies.
